Exams Preparation![]() |
We’ve prepared hundreds of students for exams. We firmly believe that succeeding and doing well in exams is a matter of strategy. We get students to commit to certain goals that we set and achieve together within a timeframe. We constantly remind them how near or how far they are from achieving our set objectives. We share the student’s burden of getting through continuous assessments and exams. This helps lessen the student’s anxiety as they know we will be constantly at their side in the preparation process. As professional tutors, we are NOT ONLY a dispenser of knowledge but ALSO as a facilitator. This involves teaching students how to learn. We train students to understand key linguistic concepts (applicable to all languages) and not simply memorize French vocabulary lists and grammar notes. Students learn to make informed guesses about how French language works, they progress from ‘knowing that’ to ‘knowing how’. We constantly refer to past examination papers so that students can see for themselves the relevance of every topic that we teach. This strategy also gets students to be familiar with examination questions so that they are never taken by surprise by examiners. |
| Exams Strategies | We usually share the following strategies with our students: (a) How to create an indexing system for fast and easy reference |
| Teaching Methodology | (a) We create a friendly environment such that students feel safe to try, to take risks, to make mistakes without fear of feeling embarrassed or stupid. (b) We communicate a sense of optimism in learning so that even the weakest students never feel left out. Whenever we identify students who are beginning to sink, we look for something we can praise and show them how much they have learned. (c) Instead of just giving a low mark, we explain to the students in concrete terms what they could do to improve their grades. |
| Learning Outcomes | You will develop all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) to an impressive level of language use. You will be ready to face your French exams with greater confidence. |
