A. Scope of Service
How is your tutoring service different from a learning center?
At FRENCHFASTER, our tutors come directly to you. You don't need to commute anywhere! Our dedicated and qualified tutors will design a program for your child that is based on their school's curriculum, not a pre-determined program that may not relate at all to what your child is working on in school.
I need to submit a composition. Can you do it? What are your charges?
No, we do not provide any 'ghostwriter' service. Our focus is to get French language learners to achieve a better understanding of the language.
What if I am not satisfied with your service?
Our courses consistently receive the highest ratings for being timely, well presented, and relevant. Consequently, we offer a money-back guarantee on every course we offer. If you are not satisfied that we have met the stated objectives of the course, just inform us after the first or second lesson, and we will refund your tuition in full.

Do you teach working adult learners looking for a fast-track French program?
Yes, we regularly work with working adult students. Most of them lead a very busy corporate life and prefer intensive programs. We also have Singapore-based expatriate students relocating to French-speaking countries on international assignments.
Do you accept students who want to learn French as an interest, not for exams?
We regularly work with French language enthusiasts who want to learn for fun and not for exams. We do recommend such students to sit for the DELF exams to measure their progress and proficiency on an international standard and the response has been very positive.
C. Our Tutors
Are your tutors native speakers?
Yes, all our tutors are native speakers of the French language. They are all from French-speaking countries in the Francophonie group.
Can your tutors speak English?
Yes, we only recruit teachers who have a good command of English. This makes communication with the student easier. Also, in order to use the FrenchFaster Method to teach, a teacher must have a good command of the English language.
Are your tutors experienced and qualified?
Our tutors are not simply native speakers of the French language. We strongly believe that formal education should only be left in the hands of professionals.
For this reason, we only hire fully qualified university graduates and they all undergo a rigorous training in the FrenchFaster Method for teaching French as a Foreign Language. We monitor our tutors and the course materials they use to ensure that quality standards are met.
Our tutors are all highly motivated and are trained to teach different types of learners with different learning styles.
D. Tuition Charges
How are your tuition charges compared to other tutors and language schools?
Our tuition charges ($50/hour for Sec 1~4 home tuition) are actually not high if you compare it to what established language schools such as Berlitz ($120/hour for tuition at the school) or Inlingua ($86/hour for tuition at the school) or Alliance Francaise ($78/hour for tuition at the school) charge their students. And at this price, the student must go to the school premises for classes. Some tutors who are university students or French native speakers with little teaching experience may charge a lower rate. But in the long term, the cumulative cost is usually higher.
We specialize in fast-track learning. What takes you 3 months to learn from a novice tutor, we can get you there in much faster! We give our students value for money. Many of our students have tried other tutors before they finally settled down with us. And we get most of my students through words of mouth, referrals from friends and parents.
Do you offer group discounts?
Do you accept payment by credit card?
No, we don't. Currently, we only accept payment in either cash or cheque.
E. Exams & Certification
For which exams do you prepare students?
Singapore: Sec 1, Sec 2 and Sec 3, Sec 4 and JC
International: IB, GCSE, VCE, DELF, DALF
Do you teach students preparing for entrance exams in French universities?
Yes, we have taught NUS students enrolled in joint programs with French universities. These students to reach an advanced competency in French language to be able to attend lectures given solely in French language.
We can also prepare MBA students at INSEAD preparing for their transfer to the Fontainebleu campus in France.
Can I get a certificate when I finish your course?
We can issue you with a certificate of attendance on request if you have attended 80% or more of the course. If you wish to get a international certificate accepted by the French Ministry of Education, then we can prepare you to sit for the DELF or DALF exams in Singapore.
F. Learning Materials
What materials do you provide to the student?
Each course includes a specially developed course manual. Materials are timely, engaging, updated continually, and supplemented with photocopied materials and audio CDs.
Can I purchase your learning materials without attending your course?
Manuals are available only as a part of the course and cannot be purchased separately. However, Publications (textbooks, storybooks)and DVDs may be purchased separately.
G. Scheduling classes
What are your tuition hours?
One-to-one students can schedule classes with us from 8:00 am to 23:00 pm.
Do you teach on weekends?
Yes, we offer tuition from Monday to Sunday.
How quickly can I arrange for classes?
The demand for our French tuition classes is always high. We recommend you give us a one week workaround period to ensure the best student-tutor compatibility. We assign tutors based on suitability, availability and personality match. This doesn't mean we cannot start at shorter notice, so do

Do you provide tuition over the phone or on skype?
No, we don't. Currently we only provide tuition face-to-face in person.
Is a one-hour lesson the exact equivalent of 60 minutes?
Yes. But for sessions that last more than two hours, we schedule in a short break.
vWhat time of day does the training course take place?
You tell us when you would like it, and we will try to be as flexible as possible. Schedules and timetables for training programmes are discussed and agreed with you beforehand.
vAre there a minimum number of sessions for which I have to commit?
No, we do not have any long-term contracts. The minimum amount of time for each session is 1.5 hour.
H. French courses
What courses are available?
I. Company on-site training
Can you give group lessons in a classroom setting at our company?
We can definitely teach corporate clients onsite. Our experience is that most companies prefer to conduct these classes either during lunch time or after office hours. We usually recommend a minimum 30 hours of French language training to reach a Beginner level.
What is the maximum trainer to student ratio?
Our training event usually operates with a maximum ratio of 12 students per trainer to ensure the optimum balance between effective results and value-for-money.
